1/4/17 - BethAnn Putnam

Today in class the teacher started off by having the objectives up on the board so the students could write them down. IWBAT to create a substantial podcast that analyzes evidence and establishes goals based on previous reflection. The other objection was IWBAT apply revision and the editing practices to make substantial and deliberate improvements to a critical review. Mr. Rivers also went to tell the class the importance of the blogs. After the blogs, all the students opened the preproduction page on classroom. This week, the students will record their last podcast. Each student has their own for every podcast that we do. But only one page per group has to turn in the paper on classroom. On here, there are different categories that are required to be filled out. My group started with the objections that we as a group want to achieve. There's also another section for each student in the group to put down what they individually want to achieve. The last spot on the page is for the students to put a question or two that they have about the book and the movie that portrays to the theme of the podcasts. We were given two days of pre production depending on when the groups decided to record. Mr. rivers also wanted each group to listen to the most recent podcast as a group and see what we can improve on. By listening to the podcast again my group was able to figure out that some of our voices are hard to hear, so we will have to put the phone in the middle to hear the voices better. Also my group saw that we would dance around what each of us were trying to say. We released that in the next podcast that we will have to dive into the question and explanation without talking a long time to get to the point. This will help the podcast to flow better. My group also released that we need to incorporate more evidence to help support the question. Mr. Rivers also talked about the revised review that the class wrote together on "Feast" a short animated film. Each student got an individual copy and has to edit it, making it better or rewording different parts to see if theres anything missing. This assent is due Monday. The teacher closed the class, by reminding the podcast groups when they chose to go.
