Joe Schwab 2/22/17

Yesterday in class started with everyone coming it class, getting settled, and opening up their computers like every other day. Then when Mr. Rivers was done greeting everyone he began to speak to the class about the due dates for the essay draft and how it was pushed back to March 22nd. He also talked about how we could conference with him and to best use our time so that we aren’t rushed in the end and writing sloppily the night before. Then Mr. Rivers moved on to talking about the critical reviews and the scoring guidelines/ expectations. After that he handed each group a card numbered 1-6 to see what slide they had to do in a power point. The whole class then watched a video critical review and filled out their respective slides. An example was explain how the author shows and provides the necessary context. The critical review we watched was about Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

After we did this Mr. Rivers explained how we could shape the review to show what we wanted to talk about. He then had us grade the review we saw with most people giving it 18-20 for the audio and 18-20 for the video. We then moved on to presenting our slides to the class. After that we logged out and the bell rang.
