Today, Wednesday the 8th, we started class by picking our own dates to blog for marking period 3. After everyone picked their 2 days for blogging, Mr. Rivers let us continue with our senior paper organization. He added videos on the classroom page to help us further our understanding on how to write proper topic sentences and how to use power verbs in order to enhance our writing. Personally, in class today I focused on solidifying my thesis and topic sentences. I decided to approach my organization by using option A, thesis to topic sentences. I wrote one sentence that summarizes what my paper will talk about (similar to my one sentence proposal, however it is in thesis form). I revisited my note cards and used the tags on my note cards to start organizing my research into paragraphs and a cohesive paper. My paper is about criminals changing from innocent to evil and my evidence is from the series “Breaking Bad”. When looking back at my note cards, I specified which cards I will be using for evidence, and which ones I will note use. Every card is not able to be used, because it is only a 5-7 page paper. Tomorrow I will start forming my intro paragraph, hopefully. Mr. Rivers mentioned how it would be a wise idea to attempt to finish the organization of this paper before the next friday, therefore we can start writing the paper and not have to work on it over the long weekend. This is what I am going to try to do. Overall, class was very productive today.
