Sarah Hoffman - 2/10

Yesterday was a half day, and yet again we worked on our outlines. Mr. Rivers kicked off our class by asking us where we were in terms of out outlines. He compared the time we had to work on our outlines with the length of many long movies, adding up the time from Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and yesterday and calculating how that compares with movies such as gladiator. Mr. Rivers also reviewed the guidelines on how to write our outlines. As long as your outline is clearly organized, it does not matter so much how the organization is structured. Font style, font size, and line spacing must be consistent throughout, but what kinds of bullets or numbered lists are used is up to you. The number of paragraphs is not set; it can vary. As long as the paragraphs can become a 5 – 7 page paper without having page long paragraphs, the requirements are satisfied. He encouraged us to work on the outline at home if need be, and to feel free to get it done early and ask him for feedback. We were also encouraged to not procrastinate. The outline is due next Friday right before the long weekend.
