3/1/17 Lauren Mitchell

On March 3rd, Mr. Rivers allowed the class to work on either their visual critical reviews or their senior papers.  Personally, I decided to work on my critical review.  Both my senior paper and review are on the series "Breaking Bad".  I am going to be discussing how the main character, Walter White, evolves from an innocent criminal to an evil one.  I like doing the same show for both projects, as I am able to elaborate more within the essay but I can visually show everything in the review.  Today in class, I started by finding all of the videos I will be using.  Mr. Rivers told me that pictures are also acceptable to include in the review.  After looking through the videos I had, I decided it was time to switch gears and work on my senior paper.  Mr. Rivers was nice enough to give people points back if they used any "to be" verbs in their topic sentences and thesis statements.  He discussed how we could alter those sentences and revise the "to be" word and gain the points back.  This is what I did.  Mr. Rivers helped me fix them, as well as other students in the class.  For the remainder of the period everyone continued to work on their projects and conferences took place.  I got a lot done this period and it was a very productive day for all of us.
