Today in class unlike yesterday we were able to work on either our senior papers or critical reviews. The wifi was not working yesterday so we talked about what happened in film class in the past and what would happen in the future. Mr. Rivers continued to meet with students and went over their outlines today. I met with him and we both reviewed my outline. When we were reviewing my outline I took notes down on my computer to make sure I remembered what he said. Mr. Rivers went over what we should change, but also told us what we did good. Also, as a class we went over "to be" verbs and how we can't have any "to be" verbs in our topic sentences. For each "to be" verb used in our senior paper we got -5 points taken off our grade. However, if we had any "to be" verbs our senior papers then we could change the sentence and get 3 out of the 5 points back. And you would have to change it by 11:59 Wednesday night.
If you were not working on your senior paper then you had to work on your critical review. For the critical review you have to choose a movie that you would like to critically review. You could talk about how bad the movie was or good it is.
I chose to work on my senior paper first because I think the critical review will be harder to do, so I wanted to get the senior paper out of the way.
