Mike Rossiter 3/9/17
After a quick announcement about the To- Be words in the senior papers Mr. Rivers was off to conference with another group of students. Mr. Rivers has been conferencing with students about their senior papers to see how things are going and how each student could improve their senior papers. Mr. Rivers gives out a lot of helpful feed back when you discuss about the paper that the student might have missed when writing their paper. His philosophy is very simple. Mr. Rivers states that writing gets stronger through revision and he is definitely right about that. While the class was working hard on either their senior paper or WeVideo project I was writing my script for my WeVideo project. My project features the film Draft Day and how this film is an accurate display of the NFL draft. The NFL draft isn't always as smooth as a normal person would think. There is a lot of hard work going on behind the scenes that the average person doesn't know about. Draft Day shows the struggles the Front Office of an NFL team has during the time of the draft. The people in the front office spend months researching about who to pick and what player is the best fit for the team. The film also portrays how teams make unexpected trades and other moves which makes the draft such a highly anticipated thing every year for both players and fans.
