The Surprise of Inevitibility - Ben Lee

In a not so nice apartment lives Richard. He's a school teacher at an elementary school across town. He goes to work, goes home, grades papers, and repeats. His only excitement in life is every Friday, his best friend Rachel comes by at the dead of night looking for a place to stay. She leads an exciting life, with a boyfriend that goes clubbing with her and takes her to exotic places. One night, she comes crying to his door, where she asks for a place to sleep, then passes out on him. This leaves him with a plethora of questions. Is Richard capable of handling her emotional baggage, as well as his own? And will their friendship survive the coming events?
