Karie - By Andrew D.

The Union, a massive empire which controlled half of the world, has collapsed. In it's wake, a world-eating swarm, simply known as the Corruption, has destroyed almost everything that was once a part of the empire.
Enter Karie, a sniper which was once a part of the Union, but since it’s collapse has gone rogue. She remembers nothing about the old world, or who she was before. All she knows now is that she’s extremely sick. Willing to go through anything to get a cure, she enters an old Union facility, which she would go on to discover was an old research lab.
She enters the lab with an AI named Oliver inside her helmet, just barely escaping death. She finds that the lab still has power, but is on lockdown from back when the collapse occurred. She goes on to explore the facility, finding various other people and dangers still dormant from within the facility.

In many ways, this screenplay takes inspiration from several other sci-fi franchises, while still taking care to maintain it’s own themes.

Ideal cast:
Karie - Scarlett Johansson
Oliver - Nolan North
Dot - Jen Taylor
Jacques Steel - Kevin Spacey

  9. You did a great job creating a mysterious tone by not giving the audience an inside look at what's going on and what's going to happen. The audience has the viewpoint of the characters which makes it mysterious.

  20. Unlike most of the popular dystopian fiction, this storyline is less reliant on action and more reliant on the characters present. The universe is very well developed, and it is clear that a lot of time was invested in this. This screenplay and concept is amazing, and were it a real movie, I would totally pay to see it.
